Environmental Objective
We utilise the guidelines and recommendations of the International Council on Mining and Metals to develop our environmental policies and programmes. We evaluate our performance on the basis of eco-efficiency indicators that measure consumption of non-renewable resources per tonne of production.

The Group's environmental management systems extend from the exploration phase, to mine development and operation, to closure and restoration. Through our long-term experience in the mining sector, we have identified five main environmental aspects on which our operations have an impact and therefore require control and mitigation.
